For strokes shorter than minimum stroke, the configured cylinder is automatically equipped with a spacer, minimum length 50 mm. Spacers length selection will be available in subsequent configuration steps.
Cushionings’ profiles are designed to reduce the cylinder speed before the rod contacts the mechanical stroke-end, dissipating the energy with limited pressure spikes. These hydraulic dampers also reduce mechanical shocks. The adjustable versions are equipped with cartridge valves to increase max damping energy extracted from cushionings chart in table B015 (section 7.5) or to optimize the cushioning performances in different applications.
The spacers increase the rod and piston guide to protect them from overloads and premature wear, they are recommended for strokes longer than 1000 mm in pushing working condition. The overall dimension of the cylinder increases by a value equal to the length of the spacers. For strokes longer than 3000 mm is recommended to contact our technical office. Spacers are mandatory for strokes shorter than the minimum values for mounting style “L”.
The air bleed screws allow to remove the air from the hydraulic circuit in order to avoid unwanted noise or vibrations which could cause irregular cylinder’s motion.
