Subplates

Incorporated subplates allow the direct mounting of the valves on the cylinder. For strokes shorter than 150 mm, the cylinder will be provided with suitable spacers.

Mounting style

For strokes shorter than 100 mm, the configured cylinder is automatically equipped with a spacer, minimum length 50 mm. Spacers length selection will be available in subsequent configuration steps.

Cushionings

Cushionings’ profiles are designed to reduce the cylinder speed before the rod contacts the mechanical stroke-end, dissipating the energy with limited pressure spikes. These hydraulic dampers also reduce mechanical shocks.
Cushionings are available:
"FAST" version for speed > Vmax
"SLOW" version for speed ≤ Vmax

The adjustable versions are equipped with cartridge valves to increase max damping energy extracted from cushionings chart in table B015 (section 7.4) or to optimize the cushioning performances in different applications.
Proximity sensors required fast and adjustable cushionings (type 1, 2 or 3) and they will be available in subsequent configuration steps.

Spacers

The spacers increase the rod and piston guide to protect them from overloads and premature wear, they are recommended for strokes longer than 1000 mm in pushing working condition.
The overall dimension of the cylinder increases by a value equal to the length of the spacers. .
For strokes longer than 3000 mm is recommended to contact our technical office. .
Spacers are mandatory for strokes shorter than the minimum values for subplates.

Proximity sensors

Proximity inductive sensors allow the contactless piston rod detection at stroke-end.
It is mandatory to select cushionings type 1 (rear), 2 (front) or 3 (front and rear) according to the position of the sensors.

Air bleeds

The air bleed screws allow to remove the air from the hydraulic circuit in order to avoid unwanted noise or vibrations which could cause irregular cylinder’s motion.
Air bleeds are always included if selected subplates or proximity sensors options.

Draining

The draining is an optional port required to prevent rod seals backpressure, recommended in case of rod side chamber constantly pressurized, for strokes longer than 2000 mm and for extended/retract speed ratio > 2:1.
Draining port must be connected to the tank without pressure.
